Dress Rehearsal Costume Portrait Photography

 

If I or my child has their photo taken on the backdrop, do I have to purchase those images?

There is no obligation to purchase the images. You are welcome to have photos taken in all of your costumes and make up your mind after you have viewed the images online.

 

Can I take photos of my child on your backdrop with my phone or personal camera?

Due to time restrictions, lighting and safety, parents will not be permitted to photograph their children in front of the professional backdrop.

 

 

Concert Photography & Videography

 

Can I take photos or videos of the performers on stage?

In theatres, copyright and child protection laws prevent patrons from photographing or videoing performers whilst they are on stage.

 

Will there be photos of every dancer?

While we aim to capture great images of every dancer on stage, this is not always possible due to equipment, lighting and positioning of the dancers and camera.

 

 

Purchasing Images

 

How can I purchase my images?

You can pay securely and conveniently using a Credit Card.

 

When will the images be ready?

Images are usually available from 1-3 days after the final event. This means that dress rehearsal images will not be released until after the concert. Make sure you head to the gallery and register. You will be notified via email when your images are ready!

 

Is there a cut-off date for photo orders?

The galleries do not have expiry dates, we have unlimited storage, so images will be available for the foreseeable future.

 

How do I get my images?

All of our images are digital products. You will receive an email within an hour of your order with a link to download your images. Images are downloaded as a .zip file and may not be compatible with all mobile devices (especially iPhone). We recommend using a computer for orders and downloads. Please ensure you have entered your email address correctly to receive your images.

How do I unzip a .zip folder?

Zipped (compressed) files take up less storage space and can be transferred to other computers more quickly than uncompressed files. You can work with zipped files and folders in the same way that you work with uncompressed files and folders.

  1. Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from.

  2. To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, right-click the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

 

What can I do with my images?

All images are for personal use only. Digital Download images can be emailed, saved, edited and uploaded to social media for non-commercial uses. Use of any images in websites, publicity, print media (flyers & posters) or advertising is not permitted without written consent. If you would like to use any images for these purposes, please email info@dancepro.com.au

 

 

Refunds & Returns

 

What is your refund policy?

Unfortunately, if you purchased any digital images, we do not offer a refund. If you viewed your images online and accepted the terms of purchase, this signified that you were satisfied with the images photographed. Please make sure you are completely satisfied with your images and ensure the subject is in focus (not blurry).

 

By checking and signing for your media at the competition, you have signified that you are satisfied with the product. There are no refunds on digital products. Please check your media order is correct.

 

 

Concert & Competition USBs

 

I’m having technical difficulties with my USB, what can I do?

USBs may not be compatible with every model of TV or media player. If you are experiencing playback issues on your computer, transfer the files from the USB onto the hard drive. For Windows, ensure you are using VLC Media Player (free download).

 

When will my Concert USB arrive?

Concert Video USBs are usually delivered to your studio 3-4 weeks after the final concert. Your dance studio will distribute USBs at their discretion. Please contact your dance studio for more information. Please note: delivery times may vary over the Christmas/New Year period.

 

Safety & Security

 

Can I share the gallery login password with family and friends?

We take the well-being and safety of your children seriously; all galleries are locked with a login password. While you can send the login privately to family and friends, please do not share the gallery password publicly on social media or other forums.

 

What happens if I lose or delete my photos and videos?

We only store dance media for a short time after each event. Please remember to back up your digital dance media to a computer or external hard drive to prevent loss.

 

From the DancePro app, you can send save and share your photos and videos to your camera roll, email or computer. For USB’s, files can be backed up once to prevent data loss.

Afterpay FAQ

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in 4 payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.

How do I use Afterpay?

Simply shop at the DancePro competition kiosk. At the checkout choose Afterpay as your payment method.  First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, returning customers simply log in to make their purchase.  It’s that easy! A $100 minimum purchase amount applies, and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.

Where can I use Afterpay?

Afterpay can only be applied to purchases made at the DancePro competition kiosk.

How does the payment schedule work?

All customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, you may do so through your Afterpay account.  You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?

If funds are not available or you otherwise do not make your payment when it is due, late fees may apply. Click here for complete terms.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction?

Yes, transaction value limits apply to purchases made on the retailer website using Afterpay.

How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Afterpay?

If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase in-store or by mail for a refund. Please check that your return or exchange meets our Return policy here. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay.

  • Use of DancePro media (photos & videos) for promotion/publicity for or in conjunction with a business falls outside of the Personal License that you have purchased. Please get in contact with us if you would like to use DancePro media for your business social media or website.

4.1. DancePro Photography & Video may use personal information collected from you to provide you with information, updates and our services. We may also make you aware of new and additional products, services and opportunities available to you. We may use your personal information to improve our products and services and better understand your needs.

4.2. DancePro Photography & Video may contact you by a variety of measures including, but not limited to telephone, email, sms or mail.

5.1. We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Personal information is only supplied to a third party when it is required for the delivery of our services.

5.4. Information that we collect may from time to time be stored, processed in or transferred between parties located in countries outside of Australia.

5.5. If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer to the extent permissible at law our user databases, together with any personal information and non-personal information contained in those databases. This information may be disclosed to a potential purchaser under an agreement to maintain confidentiality. We would seek to only disclose information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.

6.2. The transmission and exchange of information is carried out at your own risk. We cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us, or receive from us. Although we take measures to safeguard against unauthorised disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that personal information that we collect will not be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

7.1. You may request details of personal information that we hold about you in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). A small administrative fee may be payable for the provision of information. 7.2. We reserve the right to refuse to provide you with information that we hold about you, in certain circumstances set out in the Privacy Act.
